Luis Menendez, MRICS, CCE, CCM, PMP - Principal and Project Director with over 25 years of design, construction and development management experience both as a contractor and corporate owner representative. Mr. Menendez has proven diverse project experience and success handling multi-million dollar assignments with a global perspective.

As Director of International Design and Construction at Loews Cineplex Entertainment (LCE), a motion picture exhibition company, he managed the development and construction of multiplex cinema projects worldwide. Mr. Menendez was involved in the initial appraisal of potential sites targeted for development, advising on factors affecting the construction of numerous projects of varying scope.

 As a member of LCE’s international team he managed prototype design development, technical feasibility review, pre-construction, construction and post construction technical activities in support of LCE’s strategic business development program throughout Europe and Asia.

As LCE’s Midwest Regional Director of Construction, Mr. Menendez handled multi-million dollar assignments  throughout the United States.  Most notably, he managed the Star Southfield Entertainment Center project, a $31 million, highly themed cinema and leisure center, as well as, the 25 screen megaplex Star Great Lakes Crossing Theatre project, both located in Michigan.  In addition, he contributed to the success of LCE's Prototype Theatre expansion strategy working in Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New York and Ohio.

Prior to joining LCE, Mr. Menendez worked at D&F Contracting Co., Inc., a commercial general contracting and construction management firm.  As Senior Project Manager he had responsibilities for client relations, project management activities, budget and cost controls, contract administration, procurement, scheduling and estimating. In that capacity, he worked or collaborated on different types of projects, among them: Yaohan Waterside Plaza (Mitsuwa Marketplace) a grocery and retail shopping center, commercial office buildings, interior office tenant fit-out, Riverview On The Park a residential condominium project, mail handling facility, correctional and municipal projects.

Mr. Menendez holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and a Certificate in Architectural Technology, both from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Mr. Menendez is a member and holds professional certifications from The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and Project Management Institute (PMI).
